Ingredients of Steamed Bao Bun with spicy chicken

  1. You need of Dough.
  2. It's 200 ml of Warm water.
  3. It's 2 tbsp of sugar.
  4. It's 2.5 tsp of dry yeast.
  5. It's 3.5 tbsp of oil.
  6. You need 2.5 cups of maida/flour.
  7. Prepare 3 tbsp of milk powder.
  8. Prepare 1 tsp of baking powder.
  9. It's 1 tsp of salt.

  11. Prepare 150 gm of boneless chicken.
  12. It's to taste of Salt.
  13. It's to taste of Black Pepper powder.
  14. It's 1 tbsp of maida/all purpose flour.
  15. You need 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste.
  16. Prepare as needed of Oil to deep fry.
  17. It's 1 tsp of finely chopped garlic.
  18. It's 1/2 tsp of soya sauce.
  19. You need 1 tbsp of chilli garlic dip.
  20. It's 1 tbsp of tomato ketchup.

  22. You need 1/2 tsp of cornflour.
  23. You need 1 tbsp of greens of green onion chopped.

Steamed Bao Bun with spicy chicken step by step

  1. Bun Dough: in the warm.water add sugar and yeast... dissolve the yeast and sugar well by stirring vigorously.. then cover and leave aside for 10 mins..
  2. Then in a big bowl add maida, salt, oil, baking powder and milk powder and the dissolved yeast... combine all together and make a soft dough... spread some oil on the dough and cover the bowl with cling wrap and leave in a warm place (microwave wl be best) for 2 hrs or till the dough has become double in size..
  3. After 2 hrs knead the dough once again and divide in 4 equal parts... roll out each part (thick roti).. with the help of a glass or a cookie cutter cut roundels..
  4. Brush oil on each circle and fold into half... then gently roll a little.. place these on parchment paper... and keep aside for 10 mins.
  5. Prepare steamer and steam these buns in batches..and keep aside.
  6. Spicy chicken: in a bowl add the boneless chicken pieces and add salt, pepper, ginger garlic paste and maida... mix all well..
  7. Deep fry these chicken pieces in batches and keep aside. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan add chopped garlic and saute then add the fried chicken, all the sauces and honey mix well... then add. Cornflour slurry and mix well... garnish spring onion greens...
  8. Serve bao buns along with these spicy chicken..
